Karen Galvin from Quilty is fundraising for the Burren SAC Search and Recovery Unit.

Members of the Search and Recovery Unit use their skills (scuba diving, snorkelling), local knowledge and equipment to assist in search and recovery operations throughout the region.

Burren SAR divers are trained together with SAR divers from other clubs in the region (Ennis SAC, Kilkee SAC, Aughinish SAC, Inbher Sceine, SAC, Limerick SAC, Lough Derg SAC, Limerick UL).

Your donation therefore supports SAR training and efforts throughout the region.

What your donation is spent on.  Although our divers use their own scuba or snorkelling equipment, the club provides the boat, fuel, ropes and other equipment to help in our activities.
